Join us at the Minerva Arts Centre in Llanidloes and make an asymmetric basket.
If you are ready to get your hands dirty and create something beautiful, join us for the Asymmetric Willow Basket Workshop! Whether you’re a total newbie or just looking to try something new, this session is perfect for you.
By the end of the day, you’ll walk away with your very own unique willow basket featuring a sturdy wooden handle. No prior experience needed—just bring your curiosity!
What’s Included?
All the willow, tools, and materials you need are covered. You just bring the enthusiasm.
You’re on your own for food, but don’t stress! Llanidloes has some lovely cafes where you can grab a bite and chat with fellow weavers.
Meet Your Tutor: Eirian Muse
Eirian Muse runs Helyg Lleu from her workshop in the Nantlle Valley. She creates practical, handmade baskets, often combining natural willow with colourful Welsh tweeds. Eirian enjoys teaching, regularly hosting weaving workshops for schools and the community, in both Welsh and English, to share her craft.
