I produce willow baskets from my home in Carmel, Dyffryn Nantlle. They are unique and handmade, designed by the maker. The name of my business is from the Welsh word “helyg” which means willow and “Lleu” the hero of Welsh mythology, who appears in the fourth branch of the Mabinogi. The Nantlle Valley is associated with being the main setting of the story of Lleu Llaw Gyffes.

I mi, mae basged yn fwy na’r rhywbeth a ddefnyddir o ddydd i ddydd, mae’n undod o gelf a chrefft gyda’u gilydd greu rhywbeth unigryw o ran ei ffurf, gwead a siâp. [Darllen mwy…]
